If you login to the Android Developer Console today you should see a new link underneath your active installs percentage. This stats page presents a whole host of statistics, for example here are some stats for my Liverpool FC Songs app:
- OS breakdown (LFC Songs most popular: 2.2 Froyo – 57.1%)
- Devices (LFC Songs most popular: Samsung Galaxy S – 27%)
- Countries (LFC Songs most popular: UK – 44.4% / All apps – US – 57.7%)
- Languages (LFC Songs most popular: English (UK) – 44.4% / All apps – English (US) – 58.3%)
It’s great to see Google starting to provide this level of detail, it really helps to know what devices and OS your app is running on for specific testing! Anything that helps developers produce better quality apps is only a good thing for the future of the Android Market!
